16 – 19 Tuition Fund

At Bennett we have made careful reference to the EFSA guidance in order to determine the following priorities for spending the 16 – 19 tuition fund. We know that evidence supports the conclusion that the single most important thing in affecting how well students achieve is their access to high-quality evidence-informed teaching. In order to support this, we have prioritised use of the premium to:

  • Fund additional tuition for eligible students studying the Cambridge Technical Diploma in Digital Media (an additional 9 hours in term 6 of 2019 – 2020).
  • Provision of one to one support for eligible students to support them in identifying gaps in curriculum coverage, and consequent catch-up support from specialist teachers in subject clinics in terms 1 and 2 of 2020 – 2021.

We will use assessment when students return to school from the current lockdown period and continued monitoring of students’ progress in securing high-quality post 18 pathways to monitor the impact of these measures and to continue to provide additional tuition, particularly in the Cambridge Technical Diploma pathways, where this is required.
