We have been anxiously watching the weather reports today in the fervent hope that none of those patches of white on the map will end up over Tunbridge Wells any time soon. As I said to the staff at our Monday morning briefing, we really don’t want to end this term as we started it. There is just so much to do, and time is of the essence, especially with our exam groups. Plus, we have a non-uniform day for Haiti on Friday, which is not only enjoyable for many students, but also hopefully will benefit people who desperately need every bit of support they can get.
Still, if the weather does turn ‘adverse’ tonight or tomorrow, we will put information on this website as soon as possible so people know what is going on.
Today I saw the returns we had from our letter about confirmation at school. I really didn’t know what level of uptake we would get – I was totally delighted when Revd Rachael told me we have over 30 young people interested to make the mature Christian commitment which confirmation represents. I feel really proud of them for feeling able and ready to take that step. I know you will all support them in your prayers.
This evening is a briefing evening for Duke of Edinburgh Gold expedition students and parents, and curriculum briefing for year 8. There is always so much going on!
